Compliance Requirements:

  • DBS check
  • Occupational Health Clearance (proof of immunity to Hepatitis B, Measles, and Rubella)
  • Right to work in the UK – Passport/Visa
  • Completion of Mandatory Training
  • Submission of Qualification Certificates
Additional Requirements:
  • Must hold GMC Licence to Practice
  • Right to work in the UK with a minimum of 6 months UK experience
  • AC Status and Section 12 approval (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist within CAMHS services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, adolescents, and their families
  • Commitment to delivering evidence-based care and support to children and adolescents with mental health needs

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and provide diagnosis and treatment to children and adolescents with mental health disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated care delivery
  • Offer consultation and support to primary care providers, schools, and community agencies involved in the care of children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of children and adolescents with mental health disorders, promoting early intervention and prevention strategies
  • Participate in clinical governance activities to maintain high standards of care and service delivery
