Position Overview: As a Haematology SPR, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care to patients with hematological conditions. Your clinical expertise in hematology will contribute to accurate diagnoses, innovative treatments, and improved patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and management of patients with a wide range of hematological conditions.
- Participate in hematology clinics, multidisciplinary team meetings, and research initiatives.
- Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic tests, including bone marrow biopsies and genetic analyses.
- Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff and trainees.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects and research in hematology.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Completion of Core Medical Training (CMT) and entry into or progression through a Specialist Registrar program in Haematology.
- Substantial experience as an SPR specializing in Haematology.
- Profound knowledge of hematological diagnostic techniques, treatment modalities, and procedural skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a patient-centered approach.
