The candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience minimum as a Rehab Officer working with people who are partially sighted or blind. This is a specialist role and candidates will know whether they are qualified for the role. It is extremely rarer for social workers to be dually qualified.
Aside from carrying out specialist sensory assessment, the candidate should have experience in delivering ‘mobility training’ to service users.
