Day Webster Education are currently working with a secondary school in the Southwark area who are currently In search for a teaching assistant that can focus on the area of dealing with children that have behaviour issues the ideal candidate for this would need to have experience in working in a school or with children that have this issue

  • Salary: 70/85 per day
  • Hours: Full time
  • Contract: temporary
The position is to start February 2020 on a temporary role but with hard work and dedication it can become a long-term role if the school decide to take you on any further


About the role:
  • Provide general classroom support to the Teacher
  • Provide feedback, when necessary, to parents and Teacher regarding the progress of their children
  • Support both 1:1 and as a general teaching assistant
  • Being able to use your own initiative to help around the classroom
 


Person Specification


 
This position would suit someone with a Minimum of 1-year experience as a KS1 AND KS2 Teaching Assistant or someone with a Degree in Education. The school are looking to recruit someone who has a calm and easy presence in the classroom, using their experience and skills to remain in control and keep pupils learning well, this role can be quite challenging so the ideal candidate would have to be strong minded and able to not be affected by any of the children’s behaviour

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must be available to interview immediately
  • Have a degree in Education or prior experience as a KS1/KS2 Teaching assistant  
  • Hold a current DBS
