1. Able to analyse and interpret information and data, prioritise needs and formulate plans for intervention and service provision.
2. Able to work proactively as a member of the team to make accurate assessments of needs and negotiate and implement effective outcomes.
3. Able to work in partnership with carers, colleagues and external agencies to deliver an effective service.
4. Able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral format, including the ability to explain complicated information to others and use negotiation and persuasion skills to encourage others to adopt a course of action.
5. Able to recognise limits of own accountability and responsibility and seek appropriate support, advice and supervision.
Currently the team do a few home visits a week and others are done virtually so there is the opportunity to work from home if required. Please note that these are the current arrangements and may vary/change but will be discussed with you by the managers. The team has fortnightly team meetings which are in the office but do not have duty weeks. The office is based in County Hall North in Horsham. The ideal candidate needs: - To be an experienced worker with at least 2/3 years experience. - have recent front line – child protection work - have good assessment skills where they are able to identify risk - experience of direct work with children to be able to identify their needs - Good multi agency working experience Please see job description for further information.
