The role:
RBKC are looking for an experienced social worker to work with housing colleagues in a collaborative venture to support tenants and service users with hoarding issues. This is a new post and the post holder will receive professional supervision from one of the managers in the community team, however will work closely with a team of housing officers and support workers to ensure the safety of tenants and services users that need support, in RBKC housing.
This is an innovative role with a degree of autonomy and report to the Financial Inclusion and Support Manger within housing who will integrate the worker in to the team; to advise and assist with identifying tenants that hoard, safeguarding issues and those that need care act assessments to support them to successfully maintain their tenancies and live independently in the community.
Experience needed:
• Experience of working with people struggling to maintain their tenancy through hoarding
• Completing care act assessment, under the Care Act (2014)
• Complete mental capacity assessment (in line with the mental capacity act (2005)
• Identifying fire risks, housing risks and safeguarding risks that are a result of tenants that hoard
• Working with housing colleagues closely to achieve positive outcomes for service users.?

5. To work with tenant that hoard to try to accept help to maintain their tenancies and promote their health and independence
6. To work with housing colleagues and cleaning services, fire service to support people to reduce risk in their homes.
