Social Worker LAC

Location Calderdale
Salary £25.17 per hour
To provide a professional social work service and achieve good outcomes for service users, their families and carers.

Will require experience of working with Children Looked After and also Children aged 16 and over- undertaking Pathway Planning and will require court experience.

To manage with supervision and advise a caseload which may involve all client groups including:
a) The more vulnerable service users and/or those with complex problems.
b) The responsibility in emergency situations for action in relation to the liberty or safety of service users. c) Where the organisational needs of the Service so requires to concentrate on specific areas of work.

To adhere to agreed recording systems, policies and procedures.
4. May be required to initiate the involvement of volunteers in appropriate situations and to keep oversight of their work.
5. To participate in the provision of a day duty service.
6. Work with Equal Opportunities Policies and Procedures.
7. May be required to contribute to the development of the team’s new forms of work or service.
8. Undertake co-work responsibilities with Level 1 and 2 Social workers and provide appropriate support. 9. Provide PQ1 mentoring to staff and undertake practice teaching to students.
10. Undertake any other duties relevant to the post and as agree by the appropriate Manager.
