Social Worker - Independent (Grade 8)

To be involved in the preparation of appropriate level assessments of children and their families, in line with the Department of Health “Assessment Framework”, under the guidance and supervision of the Team Manager
 To carry a protected caseload under the supervision of the Team Manager. This will cover a range of possible duties from supervising contact of children, parenting advice to families, support to adolescents etc To attend Team Meetings and appropriate training in line with the development of a positive and high quality service to the public of Cardiff. To attend supervision sessions and receive direction from the Team Manager on all asp
ects of work
 To demonstrate an ability to work in a way that promotes anti-discriminatory practice
 To provide appropriate written assessments, reports and other administrative work, with the support and guidance of the Team Manager, using the appropriate information technology systems in the team
 To work with other professionals and agencies to assist in the preparation of assessments
 To cover for colleagues in carrying out their duties
 To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required by the Chief Children’s Services Officer from time to time.
