Full time 37hours Monday - Friday, Hourly base rate is negotiable depending on skills and experience. This is for 2 months but there maybe opportunity for this to be extended. The location will be Central covering, West Lancashire and Central Lancashire. Currently all staff are working remotely or can touch down at County Hall. ***** WORKERS WILL BE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE LATERAL FLOW TESTING TWICE WEEKLY. Looking for a Senior Social Worker to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking Reablement therapy service contributing to a wide range of service areas including Reablement, Equipment and Adaptations and Moving and Handling. About our team: We are a team within Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council comprising of Senior Social Workers, Social Care Support Officers and Senior Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapists and we are based in Preston. The team focuses on working closely with our Reablement provider, other Lancashire County Council teams CATCH/ICAT as well as collaborative working with our local Community Health & Social Care partners to prevent hospital admission and promote independence.
The role as a Senior Social Worker you will be able to undertake supervision and line management of junior staff whilst balancing the demands of a complex caseload. You will also be required to operate at a high level of autonomy and decision making, as well as supporting the Reablement Team Manager to develop the service.
You will need to be flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing environment as well as having a commitment to improve the lives of our service users through creative, evidence based practice. The following key objectives will shape the activities of the council going forward. These are grouped into four themes.
