We have a number of post which need to be filled urgently. We are looking for family support or early help workers with proven records of high quality assessment and intervention in an children and families setting, acting as lead professional.
To contribute to the delivery of an ‘outstanding’ Family Early Help Service as part of Southwark’s Children & Families Directorate
Work with families where children have been identified at risk of negative outcomes to provide early help for emerging problems in order to improve impact, engage families better and avoid escalation
to higher levels of statutory intervention
Support continued progress of families who are transitioning from statutory social work to maintain positive change by building resilience and family competence
Act as a lead professional and work with all family members to assess their needs and develop a whole family plan to achieve agreed outcomes that promote the emotional well-being and safeguarding of children, attendance at school and positive citizenship
Work directly with children and families and actively engage them in sustainable change within the resources available, encouraging positive parenting responsibility through a twin track approach
of high challenge and high support.
Promote anti- discriminatory practice as integral to all aspects of early help service delivery
