Job purpose
To provide Social Work Services to vulnerable children and families, and resource providers as directed by the Strategic Project Lead. To be the Primary Worker with case responsibility for allocated work, and assist the project team in achieving good outcomes for people immigrating to Cornwall and the communities providing support services.


• contribute to the adequate protection of children, young people and families from harm by assisting in the assessment of risk, and the delivery of support services.
• Work jointly with Council statutory Childrens and Adults services to ensure the best outcomes for children, young people and families.
• To be Primary Worker with case responsibility for all people coming through the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
• To be the Primary Worker for sponsorship arrangements ensuring the safeguarding and ability to support appropriately as per national guidance.
• To work in partnership across the community to meet the needs and reduce risk.
• To produce quality assessments, within legislative guidelines and within agreed timescales.
• To provide reports for departmental meetings, including safeguarding and attend these as required
• To work directly with children, adults and families, sponsors, community groups to ensure the best interests of people are met.
• To manage any financial arrangements associated with allocated work
• To ensure that Statutory and Professional requirements are met in line with Legislation and DoH Guidance, this including adherence to National Standards.
