We will now have one order that contains multiple roles that Cardiff is looking to fill with experienced Social Workers. We will no longer be looking to upload separate orders, hopefully this will make things easier on both sides.
All of the below rates will be paid at the UMBRELLA rate.

We have also attached the JD and PS in the order documents which will provide more details on the roles.
Whilst contracts are for an initial three-month term, there are always opportunities to move elsewhere across the service or extend the current role. Our working culture is flexible, with a flexi scheme allowing you to work to a schedule that suits you. We have a Hybrid working model to support you to flexibly deliver your role whether on visits, from an office or your home. Candidates will also have access to our training programme to help develop their knowledge and skills in order to carry out the role.

Intake & Assessment Principal Social Worker £42
The Intake and Assessment team are looking to recruit a Principal Social Worker.
Intake and Assessment is a fast paced and exciting team, due to Cardiff’s demography the work is diverse and progressive. Practitioners undertake Well-being and S47 assessments and provide short term interventions to support families to increase safety within the home. Practitioners hold cases for a short period of time; long term work is generally transferred at the first planning meeting.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape practice and performance in the team, whilst carrying a protected caseload. You will support the Team Manager and the team in delivering the Signs of Safety approach and a high-quality service.
You will supervise staff and have opportunities to work closely with other agencies to develop services for young people.
Locality Principal Social Worker - £42
Cardiff Council are currently recruiting experienced Principal Social Workers to work within our Locality teams across Cardiff.
They will be responsible for working with CP/CLA cases and will be carrying complex cases.
The successful candidate must have Robust Safeguarding, Child Protection experience and be confident with Court Proceedings.
You must be flexible and able to work under pressure. Due to the nature of the role candidates must have front line post qualifying experience in child protection services.
There will also be the opportunity working with exploitation
We require competent Social Workers, we require social workers able and experienced of undertaking court work.
Candidate must have experience in working in Childrens services.
Candidate must have at least 3 years’ post qualifying experience.
Candidate must have experience in Court work – CP
Locality SW £40
Looking for a number of experienced social workers,
CP/CIN –
To be frontline working
able to work within the locality carry CP, Court with an average caseload of 20
We need these additional workers in as we are building additional capacity in the teams –
The majority or work can be done from home at the moment.
Visits will need to conducted F2F and can be planned within your convenience.
CLA – children specific, lac reviewing, planning etc
good supervision ability to remote work,
If you are looking for complex cases there is also the opportunity to undertake exciting work CSE, DV, UASC and support to family in need of care and protection
Intake & Assessment SW / Wellbeing Assessment Order - £40
WELLBEING ASSESSMENT
In addition to our normal I&A SW role below - we also have a Wellbeing Assessment, but this will not entail carrying out any S47 allocations, appointment is to undertake Wellbeing Assessments only.
