QUALITY ASSURANCE SOCIAL WORKER Quality Assurance is an essential part of ensuring quality Social Work, effective delivery of services and informs the organisation in how we are safeguarding children and promoting their welfare in line with our statutory duties. Quality assurance must be strongly embedded in all functions of social work practice and linked into effective mechanisms for achieving change and be able to demonstrate measurable improvements for children and families. Roles and Responsibilities • Helping improve practice through the delivery of the Quality Assurance Framework to ensure effective outcomes for service users. • Undertake casefile audits and emerging thematic reviews across Children's Services aligned with CMT key prioritises to monitor the quality of social work practice, identifying good practice and areas for improvement in real time. • Undertake initial scoping and the collation of information where reviews are required on cases being considered for an IMR/ child safeguarding practice review due to a child death or serious injury/abuse. • Develop auditing tools and questionnaires for specific service areas to ensure these meet the requirements of the agreed audit. • Develop learning and development information and practice guides such as 7 minute briefings, learning videos and information to share with staff • Work with Services within Children's Services in embedding audit as part of a Quality Assurance system e.g., providing training and feedback to managers on the quality of audits. • Delivering practice workshops and one to one audit sessions with staff. • Ability to work independently and with a range of internal and external stakeholders. • Will need to possess excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
