ASYE position is being converted back to a SW position - not yet been completed on the organisation chart so post number on this order is experienced SW as that is only one I could tick. It's a SW position I am requesting to cover the vacancy from 12th April pending recruitment on permanent basis.
Social Work position in a Leaving and After Care Team working with YP 16 plus who are Looked After and Care Leavers to 25 years, including working with Unaccompanied and Separated minors. YP are placed in Bedford but also out of area so a car driver and access to a car is essential. Work is face to face with some virtual work and attendance in the office at Borough Hall will be required particularly for Duty work, which is part of the job on a weekly basis.
1. To carry a workload reflecting increasing complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge, in line with the capability of a Social Worker with a minimum of one year’s post qualification experience in a social work role. Regular supervision will be in accordance with the departmental supervision policy.
2. To work within relevant current legislation and the procedural framework of Bedford Borough Council (the Council).
3. To work collaboratively with children, young people and families/carers to assess their needs and plan and deliver services in accordance with the social work team’s service area.
