Fostering supervising social worker to cover Maternity leave.
• Completing concise and analytical Form F assessments of prospective carers and Family and Friends Assessments.
• Completing all supporting documents such as ecomaps, genograms, safe care plans, financial statements, health and safety checks, fire safety checks, chronologies, family profiles, pet assessments, long term/permanent fostering reports, support carer assessments, former partner interviews, referee interviews, birth children and other household members interviews, references etc.
• Preparing applicants for fostering panel and on approval supporting them through their first placement. Organising manadatory training for approved carers.
• Carrying out all duty tasks such as completing expression of interests, web enquiries, intial enquiries, initial home visits to assess and analyse suitability for fostering. Producing clear, accurate and comprehensive reports within timescales. Using psychodynamic and systems theory to aid decison making and best practice.
• Complete Second opinion visits.
• Maintain and record accurate records on all visits, telephone calls, emails, letters etc.
• Skills to foster training preparation, facilitating and observations.
• Facilitate recruitment events
• Facilitate in-house Fostering Information Sessions.
