full time Children’s Social Worker required for NYCC Family, Assessment and Support Team based in Scarborough.

This role is 37 hours per week 8:30 – 5pm, with some opportunity for agile working.
Children’s Social Care provide services which follow from specific legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and
the Children Act 2004 as well as other Government guidance and policy. We are committed to providing good
quality services to support children young people and their families. To work at all times in line with the Health and
Care Professions Council’s Code of Practice. Enhanced DBS check and Health and Care Professions Council
registration required. This role involves spoken communications so a confident use of English language is required
North Yorkshire have a well-established practice model which incorporates system family finding - there are opportunities to learn more about this for both NYCC staff and agency workers. You would be joining a childrens service with an excellent national reputation. Opportunities to work across teams - picking up specific tasks for court work. We welcome staff who are age assessor trained
Please note: We operate a hybrid model of working from home and the office - we take a flexible approach and can discuss this further at interview. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work from other North Yorkshire offices if more convenient such as Selby and Harrogate.
