Covid-19 has significantly impacted on care homes and domiciliary settings, and has changed the way that all care settings deliver care to the residents and service users. The Care Settings Intervention team has 2 main functions; One is to monitor the arrangements, and to support the care settings to reduce the risk of continued Covid outbreaks. The second function is to manage provider failure or closure situations. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to support both these functions. The level of involvement in these areas will be defined by the presenting outbreak and/or provider failure situations. 1) To provide an advice, and undertake assessment of service users in need of alternative services as a result of provider failure or closure (residential and/or domiciliary). 2) To make appropriate safeguarding adult referrals. 3) To have a time limited period of involvement as defined by the provider failure framework. 4) To adhere to the care settings Single Point of Contact process. 5) To maintain regular contact with care settings experiencing covid-19 incidents to seek to reduce the risk of outbreaks. 6) To support providers where covid-19 is impacting on service delivery. 7) To work with partners to support care settings through the pandemic.
