All candidates for roles with our teams are required to be double vaccinated; have a booster if they are eligible and also have a flu vaccine
The post is within the Adults First Response Team based here at Civic Centre. I would prefer someone who is a driver and has access to a car as they will be expected to undertake some visits across the borough. PPE is provided. They would be based here at the Civic Centre for the first 2 weeks then if everything is satisfactory we will come to an arrangement about a working from home part of the week but they must be prepared to be office based for Duty at least 1 to 2 days per week. They need to have experience of Care Act assessments, NHS Continuing Healthcare assessments, Safeguarding Adults Enquiries in a community setting and be able to undertake assessment and care management functions including presenting to Outcomes Forum for funding decisions. They need to be able to work at a fast pace as we are a short term team dealing with crisis work and we only hold cases for 4 to 6 weeks ideally.
The team is currently 20 people – Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, 9 Qualified social workers; 8 Assistant Social Workers plus admin support.
The team is very supportive and we have locums who have been with us for a long time and regular supervision is provided
