Social Work Practitioner

Salary £32.00 - £35.50 per hour
You will work as part of a busy community team providing a service to adults 18 upwards. A key part of your role will be to support and deputise for the Team Manager in terms of day to day management of the team and also in terms of developing the team and moving into the future. You will need to be able to work autonomously and flexibly including some working out of normal office hours. You will already be working at Senior Social Work level of higher and bring these skills and experience to this role. Experience • Demonstrable evidence of providing focused, timely, sound and accurate advice and guidance and working through very complex casework. • Experience of making a significant contribution to delivering and implementing change. • Demonstrable experience of dealing with a wide breath of issues and complex situations and using highly developed analytical skills to provide solution focussed and resource efficient options. • Evidence of good assessment skills, including the ability to ensure regular reviews and risk management with a variety of individuals, carers or families. Evidence of effectively prioritising work and meeting deadlines. • Experience of effective partnership working with those who access or need the service and maintaining a focus on the needs of the individual whilst handling conflict and disagreement. • Experience of effectively supervising or coaching others. • Experience of maintaining and developing effective working relationships within a multi-agency/multidisciplinary setting with evidence of influencing change. • Evidence of working with those who access or need the service to identify issues and identify specific action by means of creative and pragmatic solutions. • Experience of managing levels of risk within a caseload of complex safeguarding cases. Qualifications and Professional Membership • Degree in relevant professional or equivalent qualification e.g. Certificate of Qualification in Social Work or Diploma in Social Work. • Completion of relevant post qualifying training. • Registration with the relevant professional registration body and responsibility for maintaining registration with that body. • Practice Teachers Award. Desirable • Valid, full driving licence. (Resourcing to delete this requirement if not essential) Please note we require someone to start ASAP, for a minimum of 3 months. The person needs to be able to undertake a mixture of working from home and office-based (which is in Horsham County Hall North). Face to face visits will be necessary and person needs to be double jabbed against COVID-19 or provide proof of Medical exemption. Visits in people’s homes will be necessary, as well as care homes. The person will need skills/knowledge of supervising staff, leading on safeguarding enquiries and overseeing duty functions of the team.
