An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior social work practitioner or assistant / team manager to join us as our Interim Practice Manager. If you are a skilled senior social work practitioner looking for your next assignment (at least a 6 months), then look no further.
In this newly created role, you will oversee the practice of care workers, social workers and other allied healthcare professionals completing Care Act based work as part of an integrated s75 NHS Act 2006 arrangement. Therefore, extensive knowledge of the Care Act 2014, including RAS / resource allocation, strength-based models of care and best value are key to this role. You must also be well versed in the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the associated Code of Practice and have direct experience of Court of Protection casework. As a member of the leadership team, you will have chaired Adult Safeguarding, Best Interest Meeting and Multi-Agency Risk Management (MARM) meeting.
As you will primarily focus your working time on supporting three community mental health teams across the city, visible presence and leadership is essential and the CMHTs, so remote based or home working is limited; you will need to be in the office at last 3 days a week. You will direct report to the Mental Health Service Manager and assist the 3 CMHT Managers / Team Leaders.
Being a Practice Educator (PEPS I or II), AMHP or BIA is highly desirable.
