Role open to registered Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists with a background in forensic mental health services. Proof of registration with SWE, NMC or HCPC required with enhanced DBS

Role Information/Duties:
New role within the Local Authority that has been successfully piloted for eight months. Training as a Social Supervisor desirable but can be provided if relevant experience in forensic mental health met. Role would involved primarily working as a Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged mentally disordered offenders subject to Ministry of Justice restrictions. Some in-reach work also to be undertaken for recently recalled/soon to be inpatients. Fortnightly line management supervision offered in order to ensure robust support and risk sharing. Multi-agency working across health, social, care, probation and police to ensure robust support and risk management of cases. Liaison with the Mental Health Casework Section to ensure conditions are met and mental health and risks effectively monitored.
Car user with business insurance essential in order to effectively and safely undertake visits across the city. Office base is central with parking provided. RiO and Care Director access will be provided along with training if required. The majority of working hours should be core office hours, although some degree of flexibility with this in accordance with appointments and client schedule. Compressed hours can be considered and hybrid working can be undertaken in agreement with managers, in order to ensure lone working procedures and staff safety is effectively supported. Minimum of 30hrs per week with an initial three month commitment required.
