Main Duties / Accountabilities:
• To provide operational management support to the Team Manager/s and deputise in their absence, including signing off assessments and reviews and attending meetings.
• To keep the citizens user at the centre of the process at all times
• To ensure that casework decision making is thorough, considered and carefully recorded in every case, and cost effective solutions are found to meet outcomes.
• To oversee and support the work of the duty social worker and direct supervisees in collecting/collating information about the referral/case, in order to assist with effective decision making about next steps.
• To ensure that all relevant information is recorded on the Mosaic database.
• To chair Professional Meetings and Case Conferences for some cases as identified by the Team Manager/s.
• To ensure that with the Team Manager/s there is an effective day to day intake function in relation to the service, including meeting performance indicators.
• To act as a representative for the local authority in relevant court proceedings, statutory panels and with other agencies and write reports for courts and tribunals as required.
• To maintain and update case notes and other records relating to complex cases to a high timely manner, where appropriate.
• To carry out specialised training as required e.g. Practice Educator or Best Interest Assessor training etc.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role/grade.
