As a Senior Practitioner Social Worker in the Customer Service Centre you will work closely with the Professional Support Lead, Professional Support Team and the wider management team to contribute to the provision and management of an effective Customer Service Centre, providing the first point of contact for customer enquiries across a range of Council services and channels including phone, email, social media and face to face. You will be directly responsible for providing specialist professional knowledge- based advice, information & consultation to non-professional staff in the Social & Health Care Team to ensure that the highest standards of service and personal performance are achieved in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and guidelines. This post holder is responsible for ensuring that all relevant County policies and procedures are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies Work in accordance with the County coucil
An experienced practitioner with the ability to make decisions largely independently in support of service specific and wider organisational aims; responsible for maintaining your own personal and professional development. • Be responsible for quality monitoring the work of non-professional advisors and for providing constructive feedback to them and their Team Leaders; take an active role in their training and development and ensure their skills and knowledge are up to date, identifying gaps in clinical awareness and providing solutions. • Assist the Professional Support Lead in the recruitment, selection and induction of professional support staff within the Customer Service Centre. • Assist with the development and training of non-professional staff in the team using a coaching style and for providing constructive and evidence-based feedback informally and formally to them and their Team Leader, in accordance with Council policy. • Work as part of the professional support team, to help meet the service standards expected by our service users; to ensure clinical input and assurance is provided to mitigate risks to adults, and that assessments meet the required eligibility criteria for the service. • Responsible for working closely with the Professional Support Lead, the Service Lead (Operations) and Team Leaders to meet and exceed key performance indicators in the Social and Health Care Team and for supporting the broader aims of the Customer Service Centre and Council. • Seek to continually improve functions, processes and systems to develop and enhance the service user experience and work closely with CSC management to this end. • Work closely with Team Leaders to help ensure the smooth running of the team and for resolution of service user enquiries; help deal with the most complex contacts and duties within the Social & Health Care team. • Attend team meetings and service-related meetings as required; develop and deliver timely and effective updates affecting the service and lead briefing sessions to advisors; promote clear communication and encourage the sharing of information. • Be a positive advocate for change; help manage and implement change initiatives impacting the team and facilitate the smooth transfer of new services as required and as they affect the Social & Health Care team. • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders; to represent your service area and the Customer Service Centre more broadly in meetings both within the Council and externally and deputise for the Professional Support Lead as required in these meetings
