• The Restorative Justice Coordinator has responsibility for maintaining and overseeing the delivery of all restorative justice work by the YOT and raising awareness of the benefits of bringing victims of youth crime and those responsible together.
• To work effectively with partner organisations to further develop and deliver innovative, effective and high-quality programmes and initiatives to meet the needs of victims of youth crime, parents/carers, children and young people involved wit
A Relevant degree (Health, Social Services, Education, Police, Probation, Youth and Community etc) or equivalent professional qualification (such as RJC Accreditation)., A highly motivated and experienced individual with experience of working restoratively with victims of youth crime and/or young people., Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures relating to children and young people including the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and London Child Protection procedures. Knowledge of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, Youth Justice and Criminal Justice Act 1999, and National Standards., Understanding of victim’s issues and good practice in relation to victim engagement during times of distress. , Excellent organisational skills, time-keeping and communication, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. , Experience of coordinating and training volunteers., Ability to undertake effective assessments and plan work accordingly., Full time, 36 hours Mon-Fri.,
