Registered Mental Nurse

In this role my client is looking for an experience RMN to work in one of their nursing homes in the Chigwell, Essex area

Shift Patterns are as follows 2 on 2 off (42 hours per week) 

Job Profile
  • Be responsible for ensuring a high level of care is provided to residents and that care provided is evidence based and complies with company policies, procedures and NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • To prevent unnecessary hospital admissions through planned multi-disciplinary care plans ensuring monitoring and evaluation of treatment.
  • Comply with Safeguarding procedures at all times and promote an honest and open culture
General Responsibilities 
  • Act in such a way as to promote the good reputation of the company
  • Always act in a professional manner, operating with integrity, respecting individuals and maintaining confidentiality
  • Ensure that all information of a confidential nature that is not critical to Safeguarding procedures is not disclosed without due consent of the service user, their legal representative or a staff member
  • To be an active and supportive member of the Oakland Primecare team, contributing to team meetings, training and development and ensuring good communication so that Oakland Primecare is a friendly, supportive working and living environment
Clinical Care
  • Participate in reviews of residents’ care plans and review meetings with professionals as required; and liaise with other care professionals in regards to the care needs of the residents
  • Assist with ensuring care plans are regularly audited and that they are appropriate to the residents’ needs and reflect the care being delivered.  
  • Ensure accurate contemporaneous records are maintained and care plans updated if needs change.
  • Liaise with GPs and other professionals to ensure optimum care for the residents is maintained.
Qualifications and Experience 
  • RMN Qualified with an active pin
  • Proven track record in the delivery of quality care
  • Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and requirements of it for own practice and behaviour
  • Ability to supervise Health Care Assistants and students effectively when required
