Position Overview: As a Paediatrics and Neonates Consultant, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of pediatric patients, including newborns and neonates. Your expertise in pediatric and neonatal care will contribute to enhancing the well-being of the youngest and most vulnerable patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for pediatric patients, from newborns to adolescents.
- Manage and oversee the care of neonates in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric inpatient wards.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address a wide range of pediatric medical conditions and illnesses.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including paediatricians, nurses, and support staff.
- Participate in pediatric clinics, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Provide guidance and support to patients' families during their children's hospital stay.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Previous experience as a Paediatrics and Neonates Consultant with expertise in pediatric and neonatal care principles and clinical protocols.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a patient-centered approach.
