Position Overview: As an Orthopaedics Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized care for musculoskeletal conditions. Your clinical expertise and commitment to orthopaedic healthcare will contribute to the well-being and improved mobility of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopaedic conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, and sports injuries.
- Perform orthopaedic surgeries, such as joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures, and fracture fixations.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, radiologists, and nurses.
- Participate in orthopaedic ward rounds, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff and medical students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of orthopaedic care protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Completion of speciality training in Orthopaedics.
- Substantial experience as an Orthopaedics Consultant.
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in a wide range of orthopaedic procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centred approach.
