Position Overview: As an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon Consultant, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with breast cancer. Your expertise in oncoplastic breast surgery will contribute to accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with breast cancer.
- Perform oncoplastic breast surgeries, including breast-conserving surgery and reconstruction.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, nurses, and support staff.
- Participate in breast care clinics, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families throughout their breast cancer journey.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Fellowship or additional training in oncoplastic breast surgery.
- Previous experience as an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon Consultant with expertise in breast surgery principles and clinical protocols.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a patient-centered approach.
