Occupational Therapist required to work within The Assessment and Intake Team, Older Persons with Physical Disabilities team. The team is an Integrated team composing of qualified and unqualified Occupational Therapy and Social worker staff.
The team is a short term team, where cases are ideally held for up to 6 weeks. Any on-going casework can be transferred to the case management team if there is an identified need.
The Occupational Therapy work composes of: Priority Moving and Handling assessments, non priority moving and handling cases, seating assessments and Major adaptations.
The Occupational Therapist must have a good understanding and experience of complex moving and handling cases and Disabled Facilities Grants.
Occupational therapists will also be expected to work jointly with social work colleagues, in order to support social workers with Care Act Assessments, and being able to confidently advise on their function and care needs.
The post is based at Queens Road Peckham, at present there is home working and office working arrangements in situ. The working pattern is Monday to Friday: 09.00-17.00. (36 Hours per week).
