Position Overview: As a Locum Consultant in Neuro-Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care and rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions. Your clinical expertise and commitment to neuro-rehabilitation will contribute to enhancing the quality of life and independence of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients with neurological conditions, such as stroke, brain injury, and multiple sclerosis.
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of neuro-rehabilitation programs, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nurses.
- Lead neuro-rehabilitation clinics, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior medical staff and rehabilitation therapists.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of neuro-rehabilitation protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Completion of specialty training in Neuro-Rehabilitation or a related field.
- Substantial experience as a Consultant in Neuro-Rehabilitation.
- In-depth knowledge of neurological conditions and rehabilitation strategies.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and staying updated with neuro-rehabilitation advancements.
