experienced teachers at the school. Successful applicants will have a genuine passion for education and the communication skills to convey this enthusiasm. You would also be expected to show self-initiative, take on and follow direction and work well within a team. Learning Support Assistant position involves working alongside the Class Teacher, and working with individual students and in small support groups assisting students with work and aiding the teacher in delivering fun and effective classes. You will be supporting students from KS3 to KS5, being involved in key decisions made by the Teachers. A high number of students that you will be supporting will have a statement/learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, ADHD, EBD, Dyscalculia and Dyslexia. The ideal candidate will have strong literacy numeracy and excellent communication skills, and be patient and positive role model for the children.

You will be directed to support students with special educational needs either within in the classroom as directed by an SEN teacher in order to help pupils succeed with their learning. This could include working with individual pupils and small groups of children within units attached to a mainstream school.

Within the SEN Department every student is treated as an individual with individual needs. As a result, each student benefits from an individual learning programme and pastoral care that suits them.

You will join a very exciting and vibrant place to work. Many students have English as an Additional Language and often live in very challenging circumstances.
