An opportunity has arisen to recruit an Education Social Worker to join a busy and supportive team based in Wrexham.
The successful candidate will provide support and challenge to schools and families on matters primarily relating to school attendance, exclusion and safeguarding in line with departmental and national legislation, guidance and policy. The team work on a cluster basis and the successful candidate will cover two secondary schools and their feeder primary schools.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake assessments to identify areas of concern and be able to co-ordinate support for service users. The candidate must be a good team player with excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
Court work experience is desirable but is not essential. Experience of using CAPITA Sims and One packages is preferred.
An enhanced DBS & Social Council for Wales registration is required for this position.
