About the role:
  • You will be part of the CAMHS team of an NHS Trust in Wokingham
  • The candidate has to be either a Mental Health Nurse (NMC registered), Occupation Therapy (HPCP registered), ACP approved Child Psychotherapist or Clinical Psychology accredited by BPS
  • MUST HAVE CAMHS experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office 365, word/excel
  • RiO experience would be desirable

  • The post holder will be responsible for assessment and offering nursing and therapeutic intervention, advice, follow up and support for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties as well as advising their families.
  • The postholder will act as a resource and support to the generic and NDS CAMHS team and other CAMHS teams if required.  The postholder will establish good working relationships with local GP’s as well as education providers, local authority children’s services and voluntary sector organisations in order to better meet the needs of young people and their families.
  • Provide comprehensive CAMHS Nursing assessments including physical health monitoring (as required) of children and young people referred to the tea
  • Be responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for young people, carers, families and groups, within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis
  • Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group
  • Participate in the screening of and Triage referrals to Enfield Generic & NDS CAMHS service.
