To work as a Placement Officer responsible for searching for and placing children and young people in a range of settings appropriate to their need. These include: foster care, residential children’s homes, support accommodation and semi-independent accommodation. To match children with carers who can meet their needs, including placements for permanence. To work proactively to ensure all children are placed in suitable placements. To ensure that senior managers are alerted to any risks or threats in relation to sufficiency.
