Position Overview: As a Breast Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with breast conditions, including breast cancer. Your expertise in breast care will contribute to accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with breast conditions, including breast cancer, benign breast disease, and breast abnormalities.
- Perform breast examinations, mammograms, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Interpret breast imaging studies and guide patients through the diagnostic process.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, nurses, and support staff.
- Participate in breast care clinics, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families through the breast care journey.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Previous experience as a Breast Consultant with expertise in breast care principles and clinical protocols.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a patient-centered approach.
