Position Overview: As a member of the AMU medical team, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to patients with acute medical conditions. Your clinical expertise and dedication to acute healthcare will be essential in delivering timely and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide immediate medical care to patients with acute medical conditions.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, junior doctors, and allied health professionals.
- Participate in the management of acute medical cases, including treatment plans and interventions.
- Attend AMU clinics, ward rounds, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records are maintained in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior medical staff and medical students.
- Medical degree and full registration with the UK Medical Board.
- Relevant experience in Acute Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related field.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage acute medical cases independently.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and staying updated with acute medicine advancements.
