Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust introduced Day Webster Managed Services in February 2016 to work in partnership to deliver a sustainable cost improvement plan whilst implementing SLA agreements with all agencies already supplying into the Trust.

Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust provide a range of services across two sites, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital.

Day Webster were tasked to negotiate and implement SLA agreements with all agencies already supplying into the Trust and ensure targets are met for critical and general nursing across both sites. Working in partnership to deliver a sustainable cost improvement plan, whilst ensuring patient care and safety were at the forefront of the service delivery.

We created an IT system that was tailored to work alongside their existing IT bank systems, this meant that reference numbers, cost codes and approved timesheets were easily managed through invoicing and tyhat the need for any additional training for their bank staff were eliminated. This system has saved the Trust a considerable amount in terms of administration and resource - allowing the Trust to refocus their priorities accordingly.

Successfully negotiating SLA agreements with existing agencies working with the Trust resulted in the removal of off-framework agencies being used.

So far, by implementing the managed service in February 2016, we have saved the trust a considerable amount of their budget whilst ensuring the very best temporary staff continue to improve service delivery across both sites. In addition, there have been savings related to back-office processing and temporary staff ordering.
